Question RO Hookup Question

I replaced all the filters and the membrane in my RO system. I messed up in that I didn't note the orientation of the two tubes that come out of one end of the membrane canister. The other end of the canister has just one tube. I don't know if it makes any difference on how the two tubes are connected?

If colors mean anything, the two fittings on the end of the canister are gray and white, and the two tubes that connect are black and green. I currently have the black tube going into the gray fitting, and green tube to white.

If the colors don't indicate anything, is there any way to tell how these should be hooked up?

Thanks!

Adding a photo in case it helps. Trying to figure out if the green and black tubes on the left might be connected wrong.

You need to get an installation manual for that exact model.
The colors are important because they usually indicate which is the concentrate drain.
This is the line that dumps wastewater to the drain when it is producing water.
Some hoses have a restrictor to limit how much water goes down the drain.

The actual black and green tubes are intact and routed correctly. For example the black tube does run thru a flow restrictor then into the drain. My confusion is that I disconnected the black and green tubes from the membrane housing without paying attention to which port they were connected to. In my search of all things internet, I found the following diagram, which if all RO housings are the same, and it would seem they would have to be, I have things hooked up correctly. Let me know if my assumption that all RO housings are the same is not correct. Thanks for the feedback.

Awesome, thanks for the confirmation. Nice to have 50-50 odds go my way for once, LOL.
