Oxy bottles

I'm looking to buy a second hand used oxy bottle and know that I have to watch out for hydro date code and rental bottles. how can I tell a legit bottle that I can go have filled or exchanged and one thats bogis?

Most of them in my area are green,,, and if it says Linde on the top it is an owner bottle. They can also get exchnaged for company bottles sometimes,, I have had to watch that when out of town. Personally,, I bite the bullet and go to the store and buy one you know is legit and then you have receipt. This is one of those things that everyone everywhere has tried to figure a way around and there just isnt any good option but buying one.
