Welding instructional videos ?

Iím having little success in finding arc welding course designed for hobbyists. It seems that all that is offered locally are classes for future professional welders (approx. 1800+ hours).

I was wondering if instructional videos are any good and if they are, does anyone here have one theyíre willing to depart with. Please email me for arrangements. Thanks.

I would recommend you contact a local Vocational Tech college or community college, they normally have basic welding classes. You could check for welding training instructional videos at any large welding supply shop. Some of the bigger ones also offer training at their store.

Welding Instruction Video & DVDs

Hey Lima...

I did a little research recently and found a couple of possibilities you might have luck with.

SmartFlix has a wide array of instructional topics on DVD, including welding. You can rent for a week at about $10:

This one's interesting - from our good chaps across the pond:

A guy on another post found a series of welding DVDs you can buy for about $24 a pop from Northern Tool.

Good luck!

The original post was in December of 2004. I seriously doubt that this person is still checking these message boards for some help, some 3+ years later.
