Flux Welding Aluminum

Pretty sure that it won't work, but just curious. Is it possible to weld aluminum and/or cast aluminum with flux wire? I know it can be migged but the Shielding gas and the electrode are different than regular steel.

Thanks

Yes, you can buy electrodes for stick welding aluminum.

As far as I know no one makes a fluxcore aluminum wire. So I guess the answer is no.

I'm sorry I thought you meant welding electrodes.

No, I don't think you can either. Never seen or heard of it.

Aluminum wire with flux core would be too weak to go through the rollers and conduit.
