holes in cast iron

Apolgies if this is in the wrong place.
Wondered if anybody could help me please.
I have some cast iron weight plates for training. The problem is they have a 1" hole and I need a 2" hole so I could fit them onto an olympic sized barbell. Would it be possible to make the hole bigger some how?
I have read about drilling but I don't have any equipment. Do you think it is possible that I could take it to some kind of engineering firm and they would do it? if so, how much would do you think it would cost? I have six 10kg plates.
Thanks.

I think it would be cheaper and easier to just buy a standard size bar.

Also the weights won't weigh 10kg anymore

If you really need to, you can take them to a machine shop. Machine shops tend to be a bit pricey and they will probably put a small job like that on the back burner.

Maybe one of the local high schools or vocational schools in your area would do it for cheaper.

????? Maybe $10 a plate??

Oh BTW welcome to the board.
