cutting round bar steel stock

what do people use for cutting 1 inch round bar steel..?????
if its a cut off saw, what models are best..??? thanks

Well...., That depends on how much and how often you going to be cutting it. Yeah, a cutoff saw makes short work of it, but throws a lot of sparks. I wouldn't tie up a lot of money unless you'll use the saw on a steady basis.
You can also get a metal cutting bandsaw for $200+. I worked in metal fabricating for years and have used both in daily production. Each one has it's own merits, so unless I know more about your requirements, I can't advocate one over the other.

And depending on how many cuts and what hardness...a metal cutting abrasive blade in a circular saw will work as well.

Go to www.harborfreight.com
They have a few to choose from.
I bought a sliding compound miter saw for
woodworking from them about 5-6 years
ago, and it is accurate and works fine.
