Chicago Electric model 40388 wiring

Wiring instructions for 220V say wires are white, black, red, green/yellow. My machine has blue, black, brown, green/yellow. Can someone tell me how to wire this?

look inside and see what each one of the black, brown, blue, green/yellow terminal numbers they are connected to on the switch. Tell me what they are and I'll compare it with mine and get back with you. I've connected it up as is and it works fine. Connecting it to 220 by changing the plug and I blow breakers when turning it on. I've contacted harbor freight technical and have got no reply. I want to figure this thing out. So perhaps mine is wired wrong inside and maybe by comparison I can figure out the right way and tell you the right way.

You might try contacting HF's tech dept again. It's been a few years since I've talked to them but they were always very helpful. Hopefully they still are.
