55 gallon drums
Making a burn barrel from a 55 gal barrel. Any ideas for a grate, or other idea to keep burning stuff in the barrel?
I really don't want any sparks, embers, etc. coming out of the barrel.
I was thinking of a double barrel wood stove type setup. Mabee even welding 2 drums end to end for the burning barrel, so I could shove in long stuff.
Any ideas?

So you want to lay the barrel on it's side and set it up more like a wood stove than a burn barrel ??
IMO it's better to just set the barrel upright and cut down the debris to fit. If you set the barrel on it's side you'll need to devise a way to support the barrel and cut an exhaust [chimney] at the top.
