Finishing tin to look like a different metal.
I have a tin statue that I like a lot except I would like it better if it looked like another material and didn't carry that tinny look. Any thing to spray on or paint on to make it look different?
I meant to look like another metal.

Yea, I've got to agree that if you're looking for a spray paint... get a spray paint. Just test on another surface to make sure you pick one you like before spraying your statue. If you want something more permanent and proper you can have it plated. Plating is rather expensive for a single small item but if it's your favorite thing in the world it might be worth it.

Rustoleum has a line of spray paints called hammered. The finish is a hammered look that adds a perfect touch to plain metal objects.
