Smith Handi-Heet Torch Help!

I bought the above torch and am having trouble lighting it. The instructions don't have any information on what the regulated pressure should be, so I've tried pressures from 2-3 psi up to 10 psi with no change. The acetylene tank pressure is about 225 psi. I've been using the mechanical striker that came with the torch, and it lights at the end of the tip but also lights at the air holes at the base of the tip. What the heck am I doing wrong??? I am using their 180-4 tip.

Welcome to the forums.

You should have that set from 10-14psi for most tips.
Then just use the striker over the end of the tip.
