Best material to prevent metal flakes from sticking to it?
I know that compression shirts, aka rash guards, are horrible for this. The other day I cut some metal and I had to pull each flake out of the shirt individually.
What do you wear when cutting metal where the tiny pieces don't embed themselves?

Cotton at the very minimum. Leather is very good but hot.
No man made materials like nylon, rayon, synthetic fibers, etc.
The hot metal particles actually melt right into the material.

The main thing you need to watch when cutting, especially with a rotary type of cutter, like a die grinder, is to cut so that the sparks are directed away from you and anything else immediately in the area.
I have a leather apron that I will use for larger projects.

Leather is the best but tight weave cotton also works. I wear cotton, kitchen aprons when machining. Avoid anything synthetic, fleece or flannel.
