Add a pressure tank?

Hi, everyone! I am a newbie to this forum and have a design question...can the bladder tank and the pressure cut-off/cut-on switch be connected anywhere in the water system, even in different physical locations? I need to relocate the tank at the opposite end of the house but would like to keep the switch where it is, close to the pump control box. Seems like they could, because the pressure in the water pipes should be the same no matter where you install this stuff. Am I right? Thanks!

The pressure switch will theoretically work anywhere in the system, but not as well as if it were near the pressure tank.
Due to pressure drop in the piping, the pressures will be different at the two locations due to pressure drop from the flow of the pump and would be worse if water were flowing from the far end of the house while the pump was running.
The effect would be that the pump would shut off sooner because the pressure would be higher near the pump.

I would suggest you rewire the pressure switch to be at the pneumatic tank.
