Help guys! This has only happened in the last 3 to 4 weeks..but has become overwhelming in the last two or three days. We live in NC mountains...very wet summer here..and two hurricanes back to back in last 14 days. We have a "wet towel" sour smell coming from the water. Mostly the hot water..but a slight smell from the cold water. We have a very deep well that the VA required them to dig when we bought this house. Never had a drop of problems out of it. We use a charcoal filtering system. BTW..it's NOT the rotten egg smell. My uncle had sulphur water and I remember the smell very well...this truely does smell like wet sour towels. Is this dangerous?? My husband is going to put in a new filter tonight to see if it helps!! Thanks ahead of time, Tam

Hi, We bought our house a year ago. We were told in the disclosure that the septic tank was removed by the city years ago and everyone was connected to the city sewer. THe problem we have is that there is a floor drain that goes to the removed septic tank. There is a sopt in our yard where the dround sinks every few years from what a neighborg told us. We filled it this summer. I was wondering if this could cause any long term problem to let the Acentral air drain into that old hole in the ground? Please advise. Dany.
