Should I....? Relocate the clothes washer...
Hello everyone...I am hoping to get your opinions or suggestions as to wheather or not I should relocate a clothes washer to new plumping that will require a sewage ejector pump. This pump will handle pumping waste from the basement bath and I had thought I might also relocate the clothes washer to a nearby location to regain that space in the basement. The washer is used quite frequently since we are a family of 5...so what say you? I am open to suggestions. Currently it is connected to the septic system without the need of a pump....
Thanks!

If reclaiming the space is what you want, go for it. If I had that option I would certainly use it. One thing I would be sure to do is put some type of lint filter on the washer discharge hose as this will save you having to unclog the pump. I have used knee-high nylon socks for this. They are cheap at the Dollar store. I just used a rubber band to hold it in place and can see when it is full so it gets changed.Good luck with your project.
