Flaky Sump Pump

I've had my pump for 3 years, installed in a new
house, and I'm getting tired of it.

The float sticks, sometimes up, keeping the pump
running, and sometimes down, not empying the pit.

I'd like to replace it. But....
Should I get one that's the same?
It empties out at 5 inches of water.

Or should I get a different brand with a float?
Or get one with a diaphragm (no float?)

What's involved in switching them out?

Buy a Zoeller...........M-53 or a Sta-Rite sump pump.

Stay away from pedestal pumps.......they do not last as long.

Replace the inline check valve on the pump at time of replacement; make sure you drill an 1/8" hole downward in the discharge pipe within 6" of the discharge port of pump to prevent air-lock.
