Well casement overflowing

Well casement overflowing
We've had the same 33' well for over 30 years with almost no maintenance. Now noticing water pooled on the ground around the casing. Well is within 15' of a lake and seawall, and cover is about 4' above lake level, but it has been a relatively dry spring and this has never happened in the past. Submersible pump was installed 20 years ago. Have never serviced the pump or even opened the cover since then. Changed the indoor pressure tank a couple times over the years. We did change the pressure switch a couple months ago and increased the pressure. Any ideas?

Is the casement actually overflowing or there water spurting out when the pump is running. It could be a leaking pipe.
If the well is actually overflowing then you have lot's of water in your well. I don't have a solution for you.

Could be a fitting outside the well that is badly rusted or coroded and is leaking. When you turned the pressure up the leak may have gotten worse. Check to see if the pressure at the tank drops even when you're not using any water (if there is a check valve just before the tank, then this will not show up.) You could also run some water to get the pump to kick on then go out and see if water oozes up at the well.
