Question Tying in to septic

Hi, we have just purchased an RV and would like to install hookups at our home. We live in the mountains of Oregon and all of our rainwater is guttered into downspouts that enter into 4 inch pipes coming from the ground. My question is, are these pipes tied into our septic tank and if so can I safely tie into one of these to add a sewage hookup for the RV? The pipes are very close to where I want to park the RV and it would be great if I could!
Any help would be great!

Thank you.

Heler Hiwater, Welcome to the DIY Forums.
It's doubtful (and hopefully true that they don't) that the downspouts tie into the septic. This would put a strain on the septic tank. The septic uses bacteria to operate properly and rainwater in such volume would negate this. Check to see if you have a clean-out opening near where you park the camper. You could connect there. Good luck.

Thanks Majakdragon

I figured with the amount of rain we have here that this was probably true. I'll look for a cleanout close to the location. Thanks again!
