Question Shallow Well Pump Problems-Please Help

The wife and I came home yesterday and had no water, and still have none. I have a shallow well system and cannot figure what is wrong. I thought that my wate was froze up so I started doing my usual to thaw it out when my pump started running but no water. I have primed the pump 100 times and still no water. I pulled up my check valve and it seems to be fine with the pipe holding water. When I prime my pump it is taking about 8 ounces of water if I turn on the faucet. When the punp is running it will pump just a little water and it acts like it wants to go it just will not pick up any water. I know everything is thawed out. Can anyone please give me an Idea what to try next? I have not let the pump run very long so as far as I know it has not been hot, but I do not know if it ran why I was gone yesterday but I do not think it did. It is a floteck pump. It does not seem to be sucking any air, and my hose when I pull it up and push in the valve my pipe seem to be fill of water

Under ground line from well could be frozen or broken. Pump could be bad.

Flotec pumps have plastic impellers in them. If the pump ran dry for any length of time, it will damage the impeller and the pump will not pump water.
You'll need to pull the pump apart to be sure.
