Sump Pump Liner Problems
I have an 8 year old home. Bought it brand new and now my 8 year old sump pump float went out and I am about to replace it with a brand new Flo-Tech sumbersible model.
Here is the problem:
I just noticed that my sump liner is starting to rise from it's housing.
It has risen nearly 6 inches and the drain tile hose connected to it has risen upward possibly preventing water from draining into the sump liner correctly.
It's nearly impossible to lower it back down and when I do get it to a respectable level (bouncing up and down inside of the liner) it starts to pop back up.
Is water pressure building under the liner making it pop up?
Do I need to drill a hole into it to relieve the pressure?
What is my solution as Murphy's Law is haunting me again.
Please help me if you can.
Thanks so much.
Mike

If you mean the "plastic pit" the pump sits in, it is rising because it was not bedded correctly. Drill some holes to let the water in, and clean when needed. Hope I read you correctly. Good luck!
