Holding tank seems empty

Hello,

I was making room in my basement when I accidently bumped into my well tank. I noticed it felt empty because it moved real easy and I didn't hear any water. I had a new well put in 2 years ago along with a new tank. I ran the water and the pressure jumped up to about 65psi before it turned off. Is this too high for water to remain in the tank? All faucets are running normally but still I don't believe there is any water in the tank.
Any help is apreciated.

Thanks,

Paul

Turn the power to the pump off and drain the system. Check the precharge pressure of the tank with a tire gauge.
If the installers didn't set the precharge correctly, there could be very little water entering the tank. Also, take a look at your pressure switch. There should be a label on it that shows the factory setting, such as 30/50, 40/60, etc.
Let us know what you find.
