Water Pressure Problem

My water pressure in my house has just started to fluctuate.
This happens at any water source, sink, shower, etc. The pressure seems fine, dropps off and then comes up pretty quickly.

The presure gage on the Well Troll measures 3.8 at rest, when water is in use the pressure quickly fluctuates between 4.2 (pump shuts) and 2.8 (pump re-starts). This fluctuation is quick, only a couple of seconds each time.

What does this problem sound like and how do I proceed

I don't know type of pressure measurement you are using, We normal use pounds per square inch(psi). I can tell you if the pump is switching on/of rapidly while water is being used that is an indication your pressure tank is water logged.

How you proceed depends on a little more information.

Please more fully describe your well, pump, and type of tank as much as you can. The more info the better..

I had read the inside of the presure dial, the out side is in PSI.
Anyway its a Welxtrol 205x, The numbers in PSI: Standing 56, startup 35, cutoff 60
I tested the air valve and water came out so it looks like the diapragm is shot . In for a new one??
