Unhappy Don't know what's next....

I have a septic concrete septic tank, and the pump is located in the house. It's a 1/4 hp Monarch and it's losing it's prime. I've changed the pumps 2 times now and all the connections. After doing all this with no results I got a plumber to have a look at, he said everything I did looked good and it should work.He raised the pill switch about 6" and it worked for about a week. This morning i went downstairs and the pump was running hot and so was I. I am at witts end here why wud a pump work for a week then puke on me again? Something lodged in the suction side? Leak on the suction side? Plumber said that at times the field will suck water out of the pump.
He also recommended that if all else fails it's probably better to put a submersible in the tank instead of the indoor one?

This is the first time I have heard of a septic pump inside the house.
Have you check the switch yet. If the pump runs too long, because of stuck switch, it will pump the tank dry and lose prime.
