Grinder pump will run,but not pump
Lost power for five hrs. Lower toilet and sink were used during power outage.. Floor drain and shower had water back up.
Power came back on , could hear grinder pump running. Water backup was static ( did not receed ) Un pluged the pump over night. Pluged in next AM , same results.
Plan is to open crock and check for clogged intake.
Worked fine prior to power outage .. Any words of advise prior to me attacking " the big stinky " Thanks for any words of caution and encouragement....

Pump problem
First of all I hope your problem is already solved
I don't believe you have a grinder pump. Grinder pumps normally prime rather easily as compared to centrifical pumps. If you do have a grinder pump they are almost always 220 Volts to say the least, two horse power. Sometimes on a centrifical pump, trash builds up around suction screen and makes it difficult to prime. If it worked before the outage, it should work again as long as suction is not ubstructed.Beer 4U2
