Septic Truck Tank Implosion

My neighbor across the street has a septic tank truck.
Recently, the tank imploded. It looks the same as if you pinched a coke can between your thumb and finger.
How did this happen? Obviously pressure on the inside of the tank became much less tank pressure on the outside (atmospheric pressure).
My best guess is that the tank has a valve that lets air escape but doesn't allow air in and contents of the tank were hot, then cooled and the tank collapsed. We are in a high altitude desert, which means the difference between day and night temperatures is 30-40 degrees F.

Anyone?

Yeah, sounds like the was a malfunction in some sort of pressure equalizing system.

At least it didn't blow out....yeeeccch!

Heck yeah......you will have to post the HTML or IMG info from a photo site like fliker or photobucket. But if it's not too much trouble......

I wish I had the pictures of my brothers Pinto. Running down the highway with some plywood and straw strapped to the roof, windows open...BAM!...roof collapsed about 4-6", from air pressure we guessed.

Pinto, I would guess
My father bought 2 of these when I was a kid.
Just terrible cars. He kept buying Fords, never could figure that out.
