Wayne submersible deep well pump

I am curious as to the quality of Wayne pumps and there reliability. I can't seem to find much about them and am wondering if anyone has had any experience with them?

I have never used them, but they have been around for a long time.
I googled them and found lots of info on them. You could give that a try, and see if you can find the information you are looking for.

Thanks Travis, it's good to know they have been around awhile for what I paid even if it lasts 5 years it is a deal. the old pump was an Aermotor and it only lasted 7 years.
I know I'm saving about 800.00 doing it myself and so far it has been an easy job. I will have the new pump in Friday, had to wait for a few parts to come in, working on a limited budget here.
Anyway thanks for the help Travis it is greatly appreciated. If I can ever be of help in the area of auto repair, just ask.

Pump losing pressure

Good morning all, I have a jet pump that I guessing is over 10 years old. It is a 20psi to 40 psi pump. It is a shallow well that is around 35 to 50 ft deep. It is at my camp so the pump does not get a whole lot of usage (1 or 2 weekends a month). I just bought this camp about 2 years ago and it is my first well so I'm new to pumps. My problem is that when I try to prime the pump and turn it on, the pump take a long time to get any pressure and I have to sit there holding the switch in the on position. When I do this, the pump eventually gets pressure up to 40 psi and shut off, as it should. From there, the pump loses pressure without using any water in the camp, doesn't turn back on at 20 psi, and drops all the way to 0. I checked the water level in the well and there is plenty of water. I am going up this weekend to work on it and was hoping to get some feedback on how to troubleshoot this issue. I was planning on checking the foot valve first. I did this once already about a year and a half ago and the foot valve was old but still in working order. Next, I was going to check the airpressure in the tank to see if the tank baldder may be bad. Any other suggestions on what I should check and how would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

:wall:Hello everyone. Just bought this foreclosed house. It looks like a new bathroom was built and a new waste pipe is going to the septic tank. The waste pipe leaves the house about a foot below the top of the block wall. Anyway it's backed up. I dug it up and it filled up with gunk. I also dig it up where the pipe enters the tank. There is a small square lid and the pipe empties into this little compartment, sort of looks like a distribution box but on the inlet side.... weird. Anyway the mystery is that there is a toilet in the basement i've been using. The waste pipe is thru the basement floor. I've been using it for 2 months now. So far it hasn't backed up. Can the septic tank have 2 seperate inlets?? Also they have to be different grade the upstairs one and the basement pipes. How can this be? Where can the basement one be emptying to??? Any ideas??? Thanks to anyone that can help
