I live in Johnston County, NC and I am on a well. Unfortuantely I do not know what type of well I have...
Just noticed this gray colored sediment on the bottom of my toilet tank...
I do not see this in my faucet water, or in the washing machine, or even in the toilet bowl when they are flushed???
I have done some searches online to determine what if anything I need to do, but I am just not finding any solid information...
Any assistance or direction would be greatly apprecaited!!!!
Thanks

You don't use the handy bowl cleaners that go into the tank, do you? a lot of them will deteriorate the inside parts of the tank and give you a funny color.

I changed the flap yesterday in my toilet. Guess what I found in the tank? And I am on City water.
All the water doesn't drain out of the tank when the toilet is flushed which means anything that settles out stays there.
