Water pressure on home deep well pump

My water pressure will drop slowly until the water is just almost completly stop running. Then the pressure will come right back. This is an on-going problem. It does not do this all the time.
I was told it might be the box on the wall where my pump and
pressure tank is located. Don't know what it is called. Any help? Thanks

Go to the sticky at the top of this forum on pump cycling and read post #7 by Vey. How does this compare to your system? This is how it should be working . You may just have a bad pressure switch.

Thanks pumpguy!!! I have changed the pressure gauge but it has been awhile. Will get a new one and try that before I get the plumber. Thanks again.
