Hi, we live in Oklahoma. We are fairly new to well water!!! About a week ago, we started noticing that the water pressure in the house was lacking, hot and cold. Then after about 3 days it got worse. Now, if we use it for more than washing hands, it just drizzles. The water coming from the well house is STRONG!!! I had a "plumber" for lack of a better word, who came out, change the pressure switch and the pressure gauge in the well house because he knew thats what it was. NOPE! I was charged, he left and told me to purchase a Delta Single handle tub and shower valve. NOW, I could see if it was only one faucet that this was happening to, but its the whole house!!! I cant shower, do laundry, dishes, or even run water for the yard or to give the dogs water in back yard. So I feel like something is clogged in the <in between the well and my house> HELP!!!!
Thanks !!!!

Amie
Thanks !!!!

First I would unscrew the aerator from a faucet and then turn on the water. Is the flow still slow/low with the aerator removed? If the flow is good without the aerator you need to go through the house and clean them all. It's also possible that valves (under sinks, shower control, washing machine...) have also gotten clogged.
If the flow did not improve with the aerator removed I would turn off everything in the house that uses water. Then look at the pressure gauge. Is it dropping? Do you year the pump running often or all the time even though water is not being used in the house? If yes, then I would look for a leak. Walk your yard between the house and well looking for wet spots or water bubbling to the surface.
That's it for easy starters.

Ok, I looked around outside between the house and well house! I didnt find any water, wetness, or bubbling! My husband checked the aerators. They are fine. Still the same problem. I havent checked pressure gauge yet, although it was just replace on Friday. Any help is sooo deeply appreciated, you have no idea
He is a Marine and cannot be here to deal with these people all day, so I guess they think they can just do anything! No offense guys, but that is what it looked like when they "fixed" it and jetted!

As Pilot dane stated, you need to tell us what the pressure gauge is reading.
Is the well pump cycleing often?
With no running water in the home, does the pressure hold after the pump kicks off?

When you say you checked the aerators and they were fine, did you unscrew/remove it from the faucet and then check your water flow?
Look around the garage, basement, in storage rooms or underneath the house. You should see some exposed pipes and probably a tank. Around that bit of equipment you should find a small pressure gauge. And, often when the pump is running you can hear a slight humming or vibration or hear water flowing through the pipes.
