Question Cost/Performance of Orenco Advantex System?

Hi! I'm looking at buying a property where the engineer that designed the waste system specified an Advantex system for this site. Has anyone used one of these on their property? I'm putting a total budget together for the site and don't know how to estimate this. Rough, budget numbers would be great, please (no, I'm not trying to beat up an installer, I didn't even buy the site yet).

Also, they look like excellent units from their description. Anyone have good or bad stories about these? I know that installation is (almost) everything with septic systems.

Thanks in advance.

You must have a difficult site. Without knowing more all I can say is prepare for a cost significantly more than a traditional septic system.

You did not say what size of system you will be needing. Often they are sized according to the number of bedrooms in the house.

Thank you, yes, the site has a really high water table. Not in a flood zone but there's a river nearby and it's an environmentally sensitive spot. Looking at county records it appears that the current owner (who does not yet know I'm interested in buying it) had an engineered system designed that specified this type of system. Long story short, county COURT records next show the owner tried to sue the water board to take that requirement out of the design and the judge ordered that not only the system to be installed as specified, but that requirement be added to the site's deed to "run with the land" for future users.

Now, the only reference I can find online is one guy mentioning that his system cost "$17.5K" for a residential installation. I'm looking at building a three bedroom house, nothing crazy so I'd be hopeful a smallish size would suffice.

Maybe this question can't be answered but I really only would hope for some sort of rough ballpark answer. Like I said, these don't appear to use any sort of leach field (so maybe the cost difference isn't that huge), but if anyone has experience did it cost $20K like the post I saw, would $50K be closer? All numbers on a spreadsheet now, just to see if this would be a go or no-go.

Edit to add: The current owner who was told to install this system never built on the land at all, so that construction never took place. Just wanted to clear that up.
