Standing water at end of drain field

30 yr old conventioanal system, 1000gal tank with d-box and 3 120ft lines.Serves house only. Company comming out later today to look at it. Wants to replace with an aeration system because the old system takes up entire backyard. He also said they don't do line cleaning because the caounty wants the new aeration systems installed instead of the conventional style.
What is the cost of these systems?

Thanks

Welcome to the forums! That would have been a good question to ask the "company" when they mentioned it to you. It would be impossible for us to quote a price due to differences in price for different parts of the country.
One thing that would help, would be to have your tank pumped every 5 years or so. It lets the system work by taking out extraneous stuff that could overflow and cause clogs such as what you have.

Two people from the one company I called came out Friday. They inspected the tank, d-box and leach bed. The lines are half full of gunk. The d-box is in bad shape from the salt from the water softener. They said their aeration system they install will cost from $7500 to $8000 depending on what the county says we need to do.
The county health dept will be out next week to do a site inspection with the company. We will need to run a line from the back yrd to the front ditch by the road. No drain line inbetween the houses in the back to run the line. My backyard is about 12ft lower than the front at the street. They will need to install a pump to get the water to the ditch at street level.
It will take them about a day and a half to abandon the leach lines, take out the old tank and d-box. Then install the new tank, aeration unit and uv light and pump.
