Our home is about 15 years old. We are the second owners so I am not totally sure how everything was constructed. We are on hard, clay soil. In November 2001 our septic overflowed and we had it pumped out. This week the septic overflowed again. I called a local septic service and they came out, spent about 10 minutes here, and said I needed new drywells dug ... one per bedroom.... at a cost of about $6000. He did not open the system, inspect, snake, cameras, anything. Also said he was familiar with the area and the clay soil here often causes this problem. My question is ... before I give this guy a pile of money .... is he right? Should he not inspect first and maybe there is actually a clog somewhere leading to the drywells?

Forgive my ignorance but I am a newbie to anything plumbing. I am in the process of purchasing some land and my family and I wish to put multiple structures on the property (6 houses/trailers). What size feed will I need to get from the water company 1', 2', 3', etc...? Also can I get a single septic tank that will service all six structures or do I need a septic tank for each structure. They will be relatively close to each other (within 300'). Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.
