I have a 1/2 horsepower Convertible Jet Pump that I am using as a booster pump for my home. It is fed by a 2500 gal water tank via gravity (approx. 4' head) Although the pump is a convertible jet pump (by adding the jet kit) I do [B]not[/B] have the jet kit installed. I am using only the outlet and the center feed inlet (plugged off the lower jet outlet) I did not add the jet kit as I am gravity feeding it and assumed that the jet kit was only to aid in deep well suction situations (25 ft or so) Questions: 1. Are there any gains to be had in pump outlet pressure with the installation of a Jet Kit in my situation? 2. Does the jet outlet give any more pressure than the top outlet?

In a proper functioning septic system how disgusting is the liquid that enters the soil from the leach piping? During a recent home inspection I was told most of the discharge evaporates rather than seeps down--is this true?
