Well pump is working but no water is enetering my home
I have a myers ejecto pump 1/2 hp.
The voltage is correct on the pressure switch and the pump is turning. I primed the pump but water wont fill up unless you literally blow into the holee where u prime. I took the motor apart and notice that a piece of the diffuser is broken off(plastic).
Would tht stop water from coming into my home

It could be.... Why did you take it apart? What was going on originally?
Possibility the nozzle is clogged?
How bad is it broken?
Here is an exploded view for your reference.

well i had this motor as a spare. my other motor froze due to a stiff ball bearing
and just 4 days ago it broke
n i took the spare apart to see if anything was visibly damaged and the tip of the diffuser where it connects is completely broken off,
also where is the nozzle you are referring to?
appreciate your help

Nozzle is #12.
Are both pumps the same?
If the nozzle gets clogged it will not produce suction to pull up the water...
You could have a leak on the suction line....etc...
Also the line to the well needs to be filled. If there is a check valve at the pump it will not allow you to fill the line. I say this because sometimes the foot valves in the well may leak some.
Hard to say. I would make sure all parts are changed to non broken ones then take it from there....

lawrosa i found out the problem
a well pump specialist came to look at the pump and everything. he said that a piece of my old broken diffuser is possibly interfering with the foot valve and thats the reason why my pump burnt out in the first place.
he suggest i have to pull the foot valve out and its a long steel pipe mostly. he says it gonna be possibly 500$-800$ to fix it.
is this a good price?
also could i do this myself? what tools what i need?

IDK, do you have a foot valve? Steel pipe sounds like a point.
Did he fix the diffuser?
Take a pic of your well head and I can tell you. Take a pic of the pump too...
You may away with just putting a check valve at the pump.

That's a very high price. about double what it should be IMO.
youre in Fl so well should be above ground, no digging. shallow pump so shouldn't be more than 2 joints of drop pipe in the well max. even if it is steel drop pipe, one can pull it up a few feet at a time by hand, hold it with vise grips and cut it with a saw piece by piece until its all out. Ive done it many times. reinstall 30' of PVC with foot valve on bottom and you are good.. as soon as you replace the diffuser in the pump. A pro should be able to do all of it in no time.
