Air in the system

All

Over the last week or so we have noticed a significant amount of air in our water system. We notice it most when flushing the toilet but also with the sink faucets. Our house is on a well with a submerged pump and pressure tank, we have a softening system and a chemical injector. Any thought on why we are getting the air and anything I should check before calling in help.

Need to start eliminating things..
Is there a pressure gauge at the pressure tank ?
Run the pump until it hits the shut off point. Turn off the pump breaker and close the valve closest to where the well line comes into the house. Check the pressure gauge. Come back in an hour or so and check the gauge again.
If it has dropped noticably, then you have a bad check/foot valve or a leak in the pump line somewhere..
