well with 2 pumps

I have a standard well 100 ft about 6 inch casing. It has a Franklin 240v submers. and works
good. I have wanted to go solar and install a DC pump alongside the existing pump and water
pipe. Would there be enough room for 2 pumps and water lines??? Has anyone seen this before??

With the model number of the pump you would know its diameter.
I doubt you could fit two pumps in one casing.

sure its possible to fit 2 subs in one 6" well at different depths... but depends on drop pipe size, 2nd submersible diameter, etc. if money is not a problem, take a look at the grundfos sq flex pumps...

i say get a backup generator and leave what you have alone.. jmo

texas wellman is the one to ask. i'll see if i can get him to chime in.

Install a Grundfos SQ Flex pump. It will run off any voltage 114-230V AC or 30-300V DC. It needs at least 90V DC to run which will take about 3 200 Watt panels in series. When running solar flow into an open container. The more pressure you need the more power (panels) you need. Store water, not electricity.

the little Sun pump I was looking at used only 25 watts DC and would trickle feed a cistern
all day from 100 ft down. for 600$.

With only a 25 watt pump ..... that's about what you would get...... a trickle.
