Pressure switch acting weird!!!
Drilled well approximately 500 feet submersible pump , bladder tank.
ok guys , here is what happened.
for the past 1.5 years of living here we had to be conservative of water if we ran a bathtub full , the water would shut off half way through so we would have to go downstairs , and hold the lever up on the pressure switch.
it went this way up until the other day , it would go off after 2 minutes of water use.
I know the well isn't dry because water comes back full force every time i hold the lever and force the pump on.
I checked the bladder tank it had 0lbs , so i added 28 lbs opened the main valve to see if air passed through the tank into the bladder and pipes and it doesn't , the bladder holds well and works fine - so bladder thank is ok.
so the bladder tank is now at 28lbs, i have the pressure switch now set to kick in at 30lbs , and shut off at 50lbs ( it used to be 0lbs in tank 20/40 for switch) but we changed it while trying to resolve our problem.
now , the i don't need to go down to hold the lever up but i have to wait 10 minutes from the time the pressure drops to 0 for it to pump back up. I can only run the water for 5 minutes at a time now.
What other components can i check over? any suggestions for troubleshooting? Normally im a pretty quick learner and i have been googling the heck out of this problem but lots of nonsense out there and no good answers , just people making assumptions "well must be dry" , or probably clogged pipes" lol...
PLEASE HELP ME

Sounds like you have too much air in the tank... The bladder colapses on itself and causes a loss of water momentarily..
If you use water and as the psi approches 30 psi then suddenly goes to 0 this would be why...
Try 25 psi in the tank or even 20...

no luck
ok , so i did exactly what you said and it appeared to work ... but as i was just telling the wife how happy i was ... i heard the washer humming ( do to lack of water ) .. looked in , and sure enough the water had stopped.
so its still doing it... any other suggestions to try?

As the pressure goes down to the kick on psi of 30 does it suddenly go to 0 psi? Then does the pump rund and slowly work its way back up?
If so its still too much air... You need to adjust the air in the tank with the system drained. Turn power off at pump and drain the tank completely. Leave the drain open and test the air pressure.
After adjusted close drain and turn on power to fill tank. After it kicks off at 50 psi run the tub. Watch the gauge.. The pump should kick on at 30 psi as you have it set to and the gauge should not rapidly go to 0...
