What's the approximate cost of the TripleSafe Sump Pump System?

Thanks

Welcome to the forums.

This thread is pretty old. No one has been back since this thread.

The TripleSafe Pump system seems to be a proprietary system. Follow the link below and you can get an estimate from the company that puts that product out.

the triple is propriety. I tried to just buy the system so I could install it myself and could not. So i ended up getting an 'installer' over to quote the system installed.

$3,500 plus tax !!!!!

I showed him the door as quick as i could.

there must be something out there that is reliable and doesn't have a price tag with 3 zeros on the end?

Also need some advice

I am also getting ready to finish my basement and need to get a better back up system.

I have 2 sumps and the pumps run a lot. Not sure if this is why, but we have an underground river under our house, our well is 90 feet, to give you an idea.

I would like to back up both of the sump pumps with something that tests itself and notifies you when the back-up is running or there are problems detected. Hopefully, we can get this thread back going so some good ideas can be discussed. Thanks in advance for your help.

It's my understanding that my battery backup sump pump is not as powerful as the primary. In a 2.5 hour power outage my basement flooded about 2 inches. Why would you put in a weaker sump pump as backup? Also, why not put a power backup on the primary pump? Like a generator setup.

I have relatives that got burned by their battery backup system. The power outage was longer than their battery capacity. The same storm that took out the power dumped a lot of rain and the backup pump wasn't as powerful as the main so it ran almost continuously, eating through the battery much faster than expected. They ended up installing an automatic backup generator and as a side benefit they keep the fridge cold and have lights.

That's what I'm thinking about doing. A whole house generator sounds like overkill but all you need is two to three days of power outage to wish you had it.

all battery power'd back-up pumps depend on the battery condition/capacity,,, we always use marine batteries however there's even a better backup system imho,,, its zoeller's water-power'd aoto turn-on/off b/u pump... i suspect there are other competitors on the market, too,,, however, IF you lose elec power, you'd have to manually activate the system,,, for fail-safe protection, 12v AND wtr-power'd can be installed.

the 3-pumps-in-1-crock is most often sold by bsmt systems & their franchisees,,, while its good/acceptable, its still dependent on batteries,,, the m-53 is the sump pump std for most of us pro's - no financial interest
