My water shut off... Water Well
I come in the house the other night cut on the water and
NO WATER... I went out and pulled up the switch. It was open and I saw no black burn markes around the points..
I then closed the points left it closed a few mins and open back open.
Did this a few times and went back inside and
I now got WATER...
Just not as much water pressure.
It has been still working the past 2 days.
I went into town and bought a switch
I have not put it on yet..
I put a new 2hp pump in 2 mos ago
This just got me puzzled
What do you think it might be??

You replaced the pressure switch but it may not have been set up to the same operating pressure. Watch the gauge on your tank..... at what pressure does the switch open ?
Draw off some water and see what pressure the switch closes at.

Ok... so you have a submersible deep well and an underground tank. Doesn't make things easy to troubleshoot.
You should have a pressure gauge near your pressure switch to at least let you know what's going on. As the switches get old the contacts get pitted. Sometimes they turn black and you can see that. Other times the contact is bad just in the center..... hard to see. With a gauge you'd know if the pump was pumping. If you had a voltmeter set to just over 240vac you could actually check to see if the contacts were making.
It sounds like ultimately you'll be changing the switch. Try to add a Tee and install a pressure gauge too. If you can shoot a pic of what you have there we could offer further help.

Now I got a mad woman.. To boot all this I have a water source heat pump...
When that runs with no water it freezes up the compresser... 30 degrees tonight in Tenn and she cut the heat on
so I got to deal with that tomorrow... I just cut the air on for 20min and it will thaw up the compresser.. Now she text me I cut the heat off and now the water is BACK ON...
PJ all i got is a switch no gauge of any kind live here 20 years never had so much well trouble..

If you don't have a 20 plus gallon pressure tank above ground, then install one indoors preferably in a position where the "main water shutoff" is not between it and the pump. It can coexist with any other tanks in the system. With a properly sized air cushion in this tank the pump will be happy. If the main shutoff is between the pressure tank and the pump, then stop using it, tape it in the open position, and install a new main shutoff downstream of the pressure tank.
If the system has been sitting still with no one using water for awhile, you should be able to run about ten gallons out before the pump starts. Much less than that and your pressure tank needs attention.
The water supply doesn't cool the heat pump but rather supplies energy (thermal energy) for the heat pump to extract and "pump" into the house. If the heat pump extracts so much energy from the surrounding water so the latter goes below 32 degrees then things freeze up (you already know that).

I called my well guy, 3 mos ago I put in another pump,, I had a propeler broke off and pices were in my water valve... I put in a 1 1/2h p I have now have a 40 gallon tanke..
Well man told me that is to small a tank for 1 1/2 pump. I need a bigger tank..
turns out I dug down to my tank and had 0 water pressure.. pose to be 36psi
he told me fill to 36psi turn on my outside spicket let it drane out the fill back up to 36pis
if low.. I would not stay on 36psii I went and got a 6' tank diafram tank I will put in long ways..
I got the tank today and working nigths will do when I get up at noon..
He said if id stayed at 1hp doubt it would have done that to the tank but it did...

I know yall want to know.... Got the tank in the ground to day buried and ready..
I got it done BUT my water pressure still was not good,,, I even put in another switch I had
checked all my facets.. I bleed all the water lines let the air out even went up stairs bath that we never use.. Kids room so were stumped no good pressure..
About a month ago i had to replace a tolit cut off on switch that went bad..
I went out and there is a water cut off down in a 4inch piple down about 3 ft.. You got slide this metal bar that hopefully slides on the knob to turn it...
Today after all what we were doing he said its like your not getting good water flow to your house..
he went to the cut off which the pipe was full of water from the outside spicket.
we fiddle farted trying to turn the swich.. Then we dug down to the switch and the switch was half way OPEN.... O MY GOSH slap me stupid..
Now all is well at my house water flowing great pressure my heats working,,
