my water runs for 5-10 minutes then cuts off for 5-10 minutes and over again

Hey guys I need some help. Im constantly having problems with my well water pump every two to three months and it seems to be the same issue. My water runs for about 5-10 minutes then cuts off for 5-10 minutes and then it does it over and over again. About three months ago I got a new bladder tank for it and it seemed to solve the issue for the last few months. Water was running great not one problem. Well, I bought a kiddy pool for my kids and filled it Saturday and that day my water started do the same thing and it seems only when I shower or flush the toilet but it keeps running without an issue when filling the Kiddy pool. It has a new electrical side switch or whatnot and a new bladder tank. Not many people or places here are familiar with the system which is more of a problem. I need help so it doesn't shut on and off on me. Oh and if I open a hose halfway like next to the pump it kicks on and off the actual pump. The water flows but if I open it all the way it doesn't kick on and off the pump it runs smoothly. I dunno if that makes sense but essentially I can fill a kiddy pool but not shower or flush my toilet without it just kicking off. The pressure seems fine so I think according to my brother in law a plumber but he isn't all that familiar with the system so im reaching out to any one that can help please.

What type of pump do you have; submersible, shallow well or deep well jet? How old is the pump? I'm wondering if it's the pump's thermal overload kicking in. After running a while the motor overheats and the thermal protection turns off the motor until it cools. If so it could mean that it's starting to die unless you can find another problem causing the motor to overheat.

Is the pump up top or down in the well ? If up top.... is there one or are there two pipes going down to the well ?

If you don't understand the well system it may be hard for you to service it. You said when you partially opened the valve to the hose the pump would turn on and off. That tells us that your pressure tank may need to be re-pressurized.

However, the pressure tank is not responsible for lack of water. What you are describing is one of two problems..... you are running out of water in the well or the pump is turning off because it's overheating. It restarts when it cools off.

The pump is on top not in the well. And one pipe goes down the well. And the shower runs for a minute and then cuts off and odes it over and over but if I run a hose out by the house it runs just fine and no cutting off.

Im being told my pressure is too high does that sound right. Two guys are saying that. One said I have to empty my tank and let air out to be at 30 psi so its closer to the lower range of my pressure switch that's a 30/50 which after installing my tank probably wasn't set and seeing as we installed it we didn't check that so I think that's what it could be. More to see if not.

First, you will need a working pressure gauge on your system. Open a faucet and watch the gauge and listen for the switch to click on. Make note of the pressure. That is your pump's cut in, turn on pressure. Turn off the power to your well pump at the circuit breaker. Then open a spigot and let the water run until no more comes out. Then check the air pressure in your pressure tank. It should be set to be 2-3 psi less than your pump's cut in (turn on) pressure.
