Opinion on Wayne WSS30V battery backup sump pump system

Has anyone had experiences or heard anything about the Wayne WSS30V? Its a pre-assembled 1/2 HP battery backup sump pump system, cost is $350.

I am replacing 20+ year old sump pump in my gravel crawlspace. Old one still works, but I am replacing pump and pit in preparation for concrete being poured. We have never flooded with our existing (no backup) pump since we are a little higher than surrounding area. Person pouring the concrete suggested Zoeller M98 pump, and not to bother with a backup. I know there are different views on this, but since I know someone who's backup pump helped them when their main failed, I decided I want a backup pump. The zoeller pump and backup system looks to be around $600, which is stretching the budget.

I think it's a good idea to have a backup for a sump pump in a critical application, meaning if it fails, something floods. I think the consensus is that if you have city water you are better off installing a water powered backup over a battery powered unit, but if you're on a well that is not an option.

I don't have experience with the Wayne, but have a similar basement watchdog system that has saved my bacon several times during power failures. I have a backup generator but am not always home to start it right away. I suggest AGM deep cycle batteries over lead acid. Get the biggest battery the system supports; I have two paralleled AGM batteries on mine.
