Im stumped. 4 year old home with Microfast Septic system. Recently discovered high water level in the main septic tank and the FAST combo chamber. The level rises with increased water use, but per system design, the tank level should stay same or rise temporarily and then should drop just below the horizontal part of the incoming T. Looking into the adjacent pump chamber, the effulent flow NEVER changes....same volume of trickle. On a typical workday with no water usage, the water level drops close to the bottom of the incoming T. The high water level is resulting in overheating of the aeration blower. We have 4 people residing in the home and all are extremely conscientious with water use and dos and dont of living with a septic. The main tank and ATU was pumped out 2 years back and this years annual inspection indicated only 6" of sludge. I have snaked the 4" pvc pipe dischargng effluent into the pump chamber but it appears clear. The tanks, although have settled a bit appear to be generally level. I dont want to think about diggng up the system as the Microfast ATU is buried approximately 20" below grade and sits atop (dropped in) the main tank. I suspect something within the ATU is clogging/dammng up the effluent from draining. Keep in mind the outgong effluent pipe is approximately 2" below the incming T so the effluent should be pouring out into the pump chamber - not keeping the same, consistent, low drip. Has anyone with a Microfast ATU seen anything like this? Are these ATUs prone to clogging up and holding back water? My biggest peeve is why in the hell would the ATU be buried when it is critical to have easy access for such issues? Thanks

I am having a sump pit issue that I need help with. My sump pump seems to have died quite a while ago and I was unaware. I happened to notice when I saw the pit was full of mud. I cleaned out the pit and bought a new pump. I have not installed the new pump yet because I needed to find a pipe adapter to connect it. By the time I'd gotten the right part the pit has filled up with mud again. It took me a while to get the part and there was a lot of rain during those couple weeks. Any thoughts as to where the mud is coming from and how to fix that? I don't want to install a new pump just to let it get overwhelmed with debris. Do you guys need pictures? What pictures do you need?
