Adjust pumptrol without pressure gauge

we just bought a house with a well with submersible pump and pumptrol switch with tank. There is no integral pressure gauge. I would like to have the pressure at 40/60. That would mean empty tank should be at 36-38 psi checked with tire gauge. How can I check pump cut in/out if there is no pressure gauge in system? I do have a gauge that screws onto a hose bib. Thanks

You need to install a pressure gauge on the system. You can use the one you have though it will be difficult since at the spigot you won't be able to know when the pump turns on.
