Sump pump backup battery- turn off discharge alarm.
Hi all
Recently got An ultrasump iii backup battery installed. We have a high water table and as a result the sump pump is continuously going. With each activation an extremely loud beep occurs. When I tried to turn this off the panel gives mE only two options- a switch with low or high volume for sump pump activation audible. I would like this alarm off as is right below one of our befroom. Any advice on how to turn this off without me hitting it with a sledgehammer or replacing it? Seems like a terrible design!

Welcome to the forums.
That looks like a pretty expensive system.
Disabling the warning system is not how the problem should be corrected.
Since it was just installed..... why not contact the installer for a remedy ?

It sounds like you might not be aware that the UltraSump3 is just a backup for the primary sump pump and should only come on if/when your primary sump pump fails. I think that’s why the alarm can’t be disabled; because the alarm in no way should be a nuisance factor in that it should rarely come on.
Maybe when someone installed the UltraSump3 and tested the system, they forgot to put the primary pump back in the ready position, so now you are running on backup all of the time. Seems like that might be possible. (but I don't have a sump pump or have ever used one)
