Any tricks & tips to install the 2" diameter discharge seal grommets

Hello all,

I removed the sewage cover for inspection.

However, I found that the installation of the seal grommets is very difficult even with some wax.

I am able to push one of the 2" grommets into the discharge hole. But I am not able to get the second one seated.

Any tricks?

Thank you

Use dish soap and water, or ky jelly, not wax.

Lube up the grommet and base well. If you still have trouble get part of it started then use something like a block of wood or hammer to push. Once the rubber is slimed it can be difficult to hold so a block of wood or something else can allow you to push harder to get it into position.
