sump pump switch recommendation?

I am using Hydromatic D-A1 Submersible Sump Pump: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001PTZ9DI/ . It has been three and half years since installation.

I think the switch is gone bad. It doesn't turn on the sump pump when water level is high. The sump pump itself works fine when I plug the sump pump power cord into power outlet directly.

I searched up online and seems other people had similar issue, saying that the switch comes with the sump pump doesn't last long. Can anyone help to recommend some good sump pump switches?

I have another sump pump that is working ok, but it gives loud bang sound when it finishes draining. what could be the reason and how to fix it?

Thanks very much!

Levelguard makes an electronic pump switch. No moving parts to wear out.

That's caused by the check valve banging closed. It typically gets installed in the vertical pipe run down to the pump. The lower and closer it is to the pump...... the louder the bang. Some check valves are also quieter than others.

Thanks! Is the electronic pump switch reliable and worth it? It is more expensive than many sump pumps.

It would be worth it to me.
Most of the floating/tethered ball floats use the same switch inside.
So I don't know if I could recommend one that lasted longer than another.
