Flooring over unused sewage ejector pit
Sorry if this has been posted before...
I am trying to finish our basement laundry room. In the middle of the walkway that leads to the unfinished portion is a sewage ejector pit (at least that's my assumption, our other sump pit is a few feet away and pumps away the ac condensate). We do not plan on using this pit for a future bathroom.
Is there any issue with or idea to simply reinforce the pit lid and install vinyl plank flooring over it? Maybe even make a cutout for future access if needed?
Thanks!

Welcome to the forums.
It doesn't sound like an active sewer ejection pit or there would be lines coming out of the lid.
I don't think I'd permanently cover it over.
Post a picture of it..... How-to-insert-pictures
