Hello, do you have an emergency back-up sump pump on hand ready to be installed in the event of a break down? im thinking of buying another pump and keeping it aside. I’d get it all prepped with piping for a simple replacement. My current pump is a Pentair VA1. im curious....what’s a breakdown in the middle of a storm like? Do you attempt to replace the pump while water is still coming in, or do you do your best emptying the sump, til the rain stops? first home with an active sump......thinking of scenarios drives me batty.

Hello everyone, first post so forgive me if I'm missing critical information. I have a problem with my pump/pressure track. If I run my gargen hose or bath tub wide open the pressure tank drops to low and the pump does not keep up. I will loose all pressure and have to prime the tank again with the small are on the pressure switch. I have a submerged pump in an Artesian well. I had changed the switch twice, the 4 inch stand pipe, checked and reset the air pressure to 28 lbs. This is getting very old.. Should I drain the the system again and check air pressure again, adjust the cut in for pump, or do I have a bad tank or weak pump. Any diagnostic help would be a great help. Thanks More information
