Blockage In Caseing ?

Bought a dwmh in Florida countryside that was built ii 1990. Can't find any well info from back then. Only thing that looks new is the bladder tank. I wanted to gather up supplies to swap it out when needed as the funds are available. I'd also like to have back up to get water with 12/24 v. I'd like to switch from working heavy galvenized to schedule 80/120 or poly where all my experience was.. I'm the son of a master plumber so I have been working with him since I could use tools. Back in Pa we always used poly for subs/jet pumps. Galvenized drop would have gotten nasty quick in that water.
Neighbor says his well is 100 ft with him being about 10 ft lower elevation but you never know the water table. Anyway I got some speaker wire and attached it to a water alarm and using a weight dropped it down the well. At 72 ft the weight stopped at even with trying to get it to swing/move round down there. Everything was dry when pulled. The only thing I though ws a torque arrestor but that should have been below the water level. Guess the next attempt is a smartphone borescope with a long extension. Any thoughts ? GBY
