Trash pump

I have a diesel fueled Trash pump. I normally store in our basement. My question is would it be ok to store it outside in a storage shed. It's getting harder to move outside when needed, because of steps. I would appreciate any comments.

I don't see any reason why not. You might want to spray the outside with a silicone spray just to keep surface rust off, but I don't think it would make any difference one way or the other.

Maybe add a fuel stabilizer to counteract temperature changes and moisture in the fuel.

Didn't think if it was gas or electric. If gas make sure the carb is dry and clean. Only add fuel when in need and then be sure let it run out when done. You might want to buy the non-ethanol fuel. It will hold up a long time.

Great advice everyone, do you all think it would harm the gaskets or seals?

Consider that many cars and most diesel powered construction equipment live outside and are never stored inside. Certainly inside is better for theft protection and cutting down on rust but lots of construction equipment and tools ends up living out of doors.
