metal glue remover

I have a need to remove a piece of metal glued into a housing with a strong trophy/award type adhesive

Anything that can help dissolve this adhesive before I start prying?

TIA,

Any chance you still have the glue bottle? This kind of information is usually on there.

I didn't secure the pieces together so I don't have access to the original glue bottle

any other ideas?

TIA,

Heat from a heat gun or a hair dryer should loosen the glue.

If it is a trophy, recent ones are normally fastened with two sided tape.

great idea, I'm gonna go buy me a heat gun (since the hair dryer blows heat all over the place and I just want to concentrate the heat to avoid melting the surrounding paint

thks a bunch

Well, you don't want to concentrate the heat very much or else you will burn the finish near the piece you want removed.

Try the hair dryer and you will see it won't take much heat.
